Event Description:

Assist the Kids & Art Foundation at their annual gala.

What we'll be doing:

One Brick shift 1 volunteers will be performing the following tasks:

  • 4 volunteers willing and able to lift 20 lbs., move light furniture (rental tables) and carry supplies and artwork.
  • We need volunteers to help with setting up the art exhibit and sale, this will include assembling art easels and placing art in predetermined locations.
  • Set up tables.
  • Assist staff with carrying and placing supplies throughout venue
  • Help with Check in

The Kids & Art Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides Arts workshops to children with cancer and their care circles to improve their well-being during treatment, as survivors, and in bereavement.
 
Kids & Art uses the power of the arts and creativity to mitigate stress, anxiety, and trauma-induced from diagnosis and treatment of pediatric cancer and other critical medical conditions. Our vision is for an integrated care model where participation in the arts is part of a regular treatment plan for all critically ill pediatric patients.
 
Kids & Art Foundation provides free, ongoing art experiences to support families with children and youth in treatment for cancer and other critical medical conditions. Our understanding that participation in art making helps ease the stress, anxiety, and trauma children treatment endure — while also allowing for joy, creativity, and self-expression — is at the core of all we do.
 
We team up professional artists with families facing pediatric cancer for free art workshops at treatment centers and unique destinations for creativity. Together they use art as healing to empower, encourage, and create memorable experiences.
