Brian Brian Gee - Founder, Chairman
Brian is a founder and board member of One Brick.  His background is in software, high tech, and consulting.  Brian has had a number of management roles in software companies, was a consultant at McKinsey & Company, and bounced around a number of startups in Silicon Valley during the dot-com boom.  Brian holds both an MBA and a MA in International Affairs from Columbia University and a BS in Physics from Harvey Mudd College.
Dave Dave Shefferman - Founder, Treasurer
Dave is a founding member of the One Brick Board of Directors. Dave's background is in product management, business strategy and consulting. Dave is a technology evangelist who has leveraged technology to increase business efficiencies at AT&T/NCR, InformationWeek, E-LOAN and CafePress. In 2006, Dave received the prestigious "Jefferson Awards for Public Service" from the American Institute for Public Service. Dave holds a BA in Marketing from Hofstra University.
Clive Clive Charlwood - Secretary
Clive's background is in technology development and business management. He started volunteering with One Brick in 2004 and served as Executive Director from 2005 through 2015. Prior to joining One Brick, Clive worked in a number of senior management positions at Synopsys Inc. His most recent position was Senior Director, Marketing and Business Development. Prior to this, he served as Senior Director, Research and Development. Clive holds a BSC in Computer Science, Operational Research and Statistics from the University of Kent at Canterbury, UK.

Extended Board Members

Graham Porell - Former CD Boston, Partnerships & Social Development
Graham was a founding member of One Brick's Boston Chapter and has been on its Executive Team since its inception in the fall of 2011, and has played numerous roles, including serving as Chapter Director from 2015 to 2018. As part of One Brick's Extended board, Graham is responsible for assisting chapters with partnerships, social events, and leveraging data in chapter operations. He works for a State Agency that assists individuals with disabilities, and specializes in research, program evaluation, and data analysis. Graham has a MS in Urban Policy Analysis and Management from The New School, a BA in Social Science from Bennington College, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in South Africa from 2004 to 2005. Outside of volunteering he enjoys being outdoors, traveling, running, exploring new places, golf, and following Boston sports teams.
Ledy Ledy Espinal - Former CD Washington DC, Social Media Development
After serving as Chapter Director for DC, Ledy has now joined the Extended board with the function of coordinating One Brick's Social Media on a national level, assisting chapters to spread the word about our wonderful organisation and the events we get up to!
Kate Kate Martin - CD Silicon Valley, Volunteer Appreciation Manager
Kate was a founding member of both the Silicon Valley & One Brick Builds chapters and currently holds the role of CD in Silicon Valley, as well as organising twice yearly volunteer rebuilding trips to New Orleans. She recently joined One Brick Extended Board to coordinate One Brick's Volunteer Appreciation efforts from a national perspective. Kate holds a BA in French, German and International Business and is currently a Senior Sales Manager in the semiconductor field.  Outside of volunteering Kate is a competitive Masters rower, enjoys good food, beer, hiking, travelling and following Bay Area sports teams.
Kevin Foster - Chapter Mentoring & Long-Term Sustainability
Kevin found One Brick shortly after moving to the DC area in 2008. What began as a way to give back to the community and meet new people quickly blossomed into multiple leadership roles with the chapter, including a 2 year stint as Chapter Director. Although no longer in the DC area, he has continued to stay in touch with the One Brick organization and recently joined the extended Board to serve as focus on mentoring and long-term sustainability of the organization. Kevin holds a BS from Tulane University and an MBA from the University of Georgia.

Adam Zewe - Boston

Adam has been volunteering with One Brick Boston since he and his wife, Crystal, moved from Baltimore to Boston in the summer of 2015. He assumed the Chapter Director role in July, 2018. Adam works at Harvard University, where he serves as Communications Manager for the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. His role involves writing articles, producing monthly e-newsletters, managing social media, and organizing marketing and outreach projects. Adam holds a BS in economics and finance from York College of Pennsylvania and an MS in public relations from the University of Maryland. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, cooking, reading, exercising, fishing, and exploring the exciting city of Boston.


Joseph Dreeszen - One Brick Builds

Joe has been volunteering with One Brick Builds since 2017. Having worked with various groups after previous environmental disasters, he is excited to help bring people to affected areas in the US, and hopefully beyond! Joe is a professional dancer, and works at a college during the day. He holds a BA in History and Africa and African Diaspora Studies, as well as a Masters in Higher Education Administration. 

Polly Polly Ho - Chicago
Polly moved to Chicago from Baton Rouge in 2005. Like most of us she found it hard to meet new people in the big city. That's where One Brick came in. Polly started as a volunteer and was soon "talent spotted" by Amy S and encouraged to step forward as an Event Coordinator. After playing hard to get for a few months Polly finally gave in to Amy's persistent requests and said yes!. Since then she's taken on a series of responsibilities including Director of Special Events and and Director of Leadership Development. When's she's not One Brickin' Polly can be found in the outdoor kitchen business.
Mark Masor  - New Orleans
Mark launched our New Orleans Chapter in 2017 creating volunteering opportunities for his community.  As a Naval Architect, licensed Professional Engineer, and Project Management Professional, he heads up the Gulf Coast office for his company, Gibbs & Cox. Mark volunteered with the National World War II Museum where he served as the naval architect for an all-volunteer team restoring the Higgins PT-305 for passenger operations. Mark serves on the section board of his industry society and is an active member on his neighbored association. Mark enjoys New Orleans culture and participates in three Mardi Gras krewes.
Vince Vince Fuentes  - New York
Vince began volutneering with One Brick in 2005 with One Brick Chicago. He became an Event Coordinator then Manager after a year, and enjoyed building the chapter for a few years before traveling to China and settling in Washington DC. For a year Vince was part of the One Brick DC Exec-Team before picking up once again for graduate school. After a few years Vince returned to Chicago, rejoining their Exec Team before landing in New York to lead an education program at an international non-profit. In October 2016 Vince became the NYC Chapter Director. Vince has a bachelor's and master's degree in International Affairs. Vince enjoys running, boxing, traveling, reading, Chicago sports and craft beer. 
Jalal Jalal Clemens - San Francisco

Jalal has been volunteering with One Brick off and on since 2005 when he lived in Chicago. After moving to the Bay Area he joined the management team for the San Francisco Chapter in 2016. Jalal's favorite types of events are helping at galas because there are always interesting challenges and fun surprises that come up at them during volunteering. Jalal's day job is in Higher Education and his biggest passion is building a great community that makes the world a better place. 

Jeanette Jeannette Roden - Seattle
Jeannette began volunteering with One Brick in April 2010 and assumed the chapter director role in July 2011. As an IT consultant specializing in enterprise architecture and data management, she holds multiple IT certifications including CDMP, CBIP, MCDBA, MCSD, and MCSE. Jeannette also works part-time at the Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience and is well-versed in non-profit operations and management. She has attended the University of Washington, Central Washington University, Edmonds Community College, and North Seattle Community College, earning multiple degrees and certificates in computer science, information technology, and business administration. Jeannette is a third-degree black belt and TKD instructor, tournament judge and center referee.

Kate Martin - Silicon Valley

Kate has been volunteering in the SF Bay Area since 2009 and was a founding member of both the Silicon Valley & One Brick Builds chapters. After serving various roles in local/Builds chapters and organising many volunteer trips to New Orleans Kate assumed the role of Chapter Director of the One Brick Silicon Valley chapter in May 2018.  Kate holds a BA in French, German and International Business and is currently a Senior Sales Manager in the semiconductor field. Outside of volunteering Kate is a competitive Masters rower, enjoys good food, beer, hiking, travelling and following Bay Area sports teams.

Ashleigh Ashleigh O. - Washington, DC
Ashleigh began volunteering with One Brick in early 2016, joined the Exec team in 2017 and assumed the Chapter Director role in April of 2018. A Howard University grad, Ashleigh holds a BBA in Computer Information Systems and is currently working as an IT Consultant. Ashleigh is also a big Mental Health advocate and frequently blogs on the subject. A Cleveland, OH native, Ashleigh moved to Washington, DC in the fall of 2010. When she is not volunteering with One Brick, you can find her at a local concert venue, in the gym, travelling the world, or lounging around at home.
