Event Description:

Important!  Please note that there are 2 separate sets of tasks for this shift.  Additional details can be found below in the "What we'll be doing" section.

Assist the Kids & Art Foundation at their annual gala.

What we'll be doing:

One Brick shift 2 volunteers will be performing 2 separate sets of tasks for this shift:

  • 4 volunteers from 3:15 pm to 6:30 pm will assist the caterers by serving food.

In addition, 4 volunteers from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm will be helping out with the following tasks:

  • 4 volunteers to help with assisting with spotting during the Fund A Need event program, identifying donors.
  • Assist with takedown; packaging of art
  • Break down of tables, and clean up of venue

Please inform your One Brick Event Manager if you have a preference of helping from 3:15 pm to 6:30 pm or from 4 pm to 8 pm.

The Kids & Art Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides Arts workshops to children with cancer and their care circles to improve their well-being during treatment, as survivors, and in bereavement.
 
Kids & Art uses the power of the arts and creativity to mitigate stress, anxiety, and trauma-induced from diagnosis and treatment of pediatric cancer and other critical medical conditions. Our vision is for an integrated care model where participation in the arts is part of a regular treatment plan for all critically ill pediatric patients.
 
Kids & Art Foundation provides free, ongoing art experiences to support families with children and youth in treatment for cancer and other critical medical conditions. Our understanding that participation in art making helps ease the stress, anxiety, and trauma children treatment endure — while also allowing for joy, creativity, and self-expression — is at the core of all we do.
 
We team up professional artists with families facing pediatric cancer for free art workshops at treatment centers and unique destinations for creativity. Together they use art as healing to empower, encourage, and create memorable experiences.
