Event Description:
San Francisco Little League begins the season with a big Opening Day Parade, BBQ and Ceremony. We have kids from every zip code in the city participating. This is a wonderful event and one the kids always look forward to every year. Each team decorates a truck for the parade which begins in the Presidio, winds through Cow Hollow and the Marina to end up at Moscone Playgroun in the Marina. Once they arrive at Moscone the kids will be part of a quick 15 minute ceremony where we will throw out the first ball of the season! Lou Seal from the Giants around for the fun too. Then it is on to the BBQ where we will feed the kids and families.
One Brick will be setting up BBQ area, prepping food, selling food tickets, serving food, and assisting with breakdown.
San Francisco Little League:
SFLL is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization offering baseball and softball to approximately 1,500 San Francisco boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 18 each year. SFLL assists youth in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being. In addition to our baseball and softball divisions we also offer a challenger division for players who are physically or mentally challenged and welcome the opportunity to play baseball. Our players come from all corners of San Francisco; we have players from over 150 schools and all major zip codes are represented in our player base.
