Event Description:

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services. The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

What we'll be doing:

Volunteers will be assisting in preparation for LLS’s annual Light The Night Walks, where participants walk an easy 2-mile route carrying illuminated balloons. Balloons are different colors to signify different reasons for walking: red for supporters, white for patients/survivors, and gold for those walking in memory of a loved one. We need volunteers to stuff batteries into the light packs that illuminate these balloons on walk night.

What you should know:

Metered parking is available on the street, there are some parking structures close by; no specific attire is required.

Where to Meet:

We will meet at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, San Francisco office: 221 Main St., Suite 1650, San Francisco, CA 94105. The office is located on the 16th floor.
