Event Description:
The Annual Dinner and Auction is Washington Wilderness Coalition's largest fundraising event. This year, WWC anticipates hosting 175 guests at the Mountaineers facility at Magnuson Park on Lake Washington. The event will include live and silent auctions and a sit-down dinner. Volunteer help is essential for the success of this event!
What we'll be doing:
There will be multiple volunteers assigned to each job – you will not be alone or responsible for everything.
- Greeter – welcome guests as they arrive
- Silent auction table monitor
- Live auction spotter
- Live auction recorder – write down the amount each items goes for
- Auction runner – bring items out from the staging area
- "Vanna’s" – show off the items to be auctioned
- Dessert dash card collector – pick up bid cards from each table during the dessert dash
- * OPTIONAL* Post-event clean-up – this goes from 9:30-11:00.If you're volunteering during the event and would like to stick around to help us clean up, WWC would really appreciate it! Let us know in the RSVP you’re available to stick around. * OPTIONAL *
What you should know:
We will provide dinner and snacks for volunteers during the event. There will be a separate volunteer room for eating and socializing. Parking is available in front of the Mountaineers building, as well as in any of the multiple lots in Magnuson Park. Volunteers should dress “business casual†and wear comfortable shoes.
Where to Meet:
Please meet at The Mountaineers Program Center (7700 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA 98115) and look for the volunteer check-in area.
