Event Description:

The Leland Avenue Street Fair is an annual family oriented celebration in Visitacion Valley. The festival includes live band performances by local artists, a children's area, arts and crafts, games, informational booth from local service providers and vendors from the community and surrounding city. The 6th Annual Leland Avenue Street Fair will once again be a celebration of downtown Vis Valley and the surrounding community. Now in its sixth year, the street fair has evolved into a much anticipated, time honored neighborhood party. With a focus on local families and the local economy, this festival brings together neighborhood residents artists, performers and business owners on a Sunday afternoon every September since 2006.

One Brick will oversee the major kids attractions, assist with food, and tear down.

Volunteers should meet at Joe Leland Coffee Shop at 28 Leland Ave to check in.

VVBOOM:

Visitacion Valley Business Opportunitites and Outreach to Merchants (VVBOOM) is the catalyst to build connections between businesses, residents and service-providers. VVBOOM provides leadership to enhance business opportunities in the neighborhood and brings resources to support business growth that serves the Visitacion Valley. VVBOOM's ultimate goal is to help revitalize the entire community by targeted improvements along the Leland/Bayshore Commercial Corridor. VVBOOM follows a plan of action developed by the community during a series of community meetings. VVBOOM's objectives are directly defined by the Action Plan.
