Event Description:
Come to the Arroyo Viejo Creek at the Oakland Zoo and experience the local habitat, while helping it thrive. Grab your gardening gloves and help clean up the creek. We work hard, learn and have fun!
What we'll be doing:
One Brick will be pulling non-natives plants, planting native plants, mulching, pulling garbage out of creek, maintaining watershed.
What you should know:
This event happens rain or shine, so come prepared! Bring sun block, sun glasses, hats, and dress in layers! Wear shoes that can get dirty. Shoes must be close-toed. After working, volunteers can enjoy the zoo all day. If you wish to do that, consider bringing lunch as well.
