Event Description:

This volunteer opportunity has reached the maximum number of volunteers.  Please DO NOT attend unless you have RSVP'd on the One Brick page and have received a confirmation from the event manager. 

This year's event is our 18th auction/gala.

Volunteers that help at our event allow for parents and members of our community, that usually volunteer at events to enjoy the evening as participants.  The theme for the 2025 fundraiser will be: The 80's

What we'll be doing:

One Brick volunteers will be asked to help with the following:

• greet and check in guests
• assist with bartending (volunteers must be 21+)
• supporting food service
• bussing tables
• running a wine toss game
• dessert dash coordinator
• silent auction support

Please be flexible with your job assignment(s) as most of the volunteers will be asked to help out in multiple areas on event night.

What you should know:

There are no COVID related protocols at this time.

Volunteers are asked to dress in black or dark colored cocktail attire that is not restrictive and will allow you to move about comfortably.  Please wear comfortable shoes.

If you have a One Brick name tag and lanyard please wear it, otherwise we will have adhesive name tags for our volunteers.

There will be a volunteer table at the event where volunteers are welcome to take a break and help themselves to the buffet dinner.  As a common courtesy please make sure that paid guests have had their turn at the dinner line first.  As was the case last year, volunteers will be alerted when the dinner line is open to them.

Volunteer Parking: Please view the diagram below and enter Donworth Event Center through the side doors.

Where to Meet:

Donworth Hall is a beautiful event hall and gym located in San Francisco's Lakeside district. They share unlimited parking with Stonestown mall and is just a 3 minute walk from Muni's M line and 57 line. Signs will direct you to the entrance from Eucalyptus Drive, as it is around the back of the building, through the St. Stephens Catholic School school yard.

DFES-PTA:

The Dianne Feinstein Elementary School PTA (DFES-PTA) is a certified National PTA chapter and 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose purpose is to:

• a. To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, places of worship, and throughout the community
• b. To raise the standards of home life
• c. To advocate for laws that further the education, physical and mental health, welfare, and safety of children and youth
• d. To promote the collaboration and engagement of families and educators in the education of children and youth
• e. To engage the public in united efforts to secure the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social well-being of all children and youth
• f. To advocate for fiscal responsibility regarding public tax dollars in public education funding.
