Event Description:

Help staff the Hot Chocolate Run Expo where participants will be picking up their race packets & enjoying complimentary chocolate goodies!

The 2024/2025 USA TODAY Hot Chocolate Run will support the mission of Special Olympics, a global movement that unleashes the human spirit every day around the world through the transformative power and joy of sport.

Special Olympics works to end discrimination against people with intellectual disabilities and fosters acceptance of all people through sport and programming in education, health, and leadership.

With more than six million athletes and Unified Sports partners, one million coaches and volunteers in over 200 accredited Programs, Special Olympics delivers more than 30 Olympic-style sports and over 100,000 games and competitions every year.

What we'll be doing:

Expo volunteers are assigned as they arrive to the expo based on areas of greatest need. Areas of service include working at the bib station, handing out goodie bags, staffing the chocolate station, and helping Ventures Endurance staff in the merchandise area and fitting rooms.

What you should know:

Dress comfortably, as we will be on our feet for most of the day. You will be provided a volunteer shirt to wear during our shift (and to keep afterwards).

IMPORTANT: After RSVPing with One Brick, please register for our reserved One Brick shift using our unique link (https://venturesendurance.enmotive.com/events/volunteer/2025-hot-chocolate-run-seattle/job:4acd2629-4c5a-4165-9fde-e1806135063a) to confirm your attendance for the run organizers. Your name will NOT appear on their volunteer list if you do not pre-register using this link. :(

- Please click the circle in front of "One Brick" and the box in front of "I accept the above waivers and disclaimers" before clicking the Continue button. Use the "I don't have an Enmotive account" fields if you haven't previously participated in the Hot Chocolate Run as a volunteer or a runner.

- If you have a last-minute cancellation, please keep in mind that the One Brick and Enmotive volunteer management systems are separate. The run organizers would prefer if all volunteers are registered by February 17th (so if you RSVP after this date, you may need to sign in separately at Volunteer Check-in).

- One Brick volunteer RSVPs usually open one month before the volunteer event is scheduled, but this opportunity opened early due to the organizer's request for early volunteer registration. Grab your spot now!

- NEW THIS YEAR: Individuals who want to volunteer and run will receive a discounted registration after completing volunteer shift! After your volunteer shift see the volunteer coordinator to register.  Prices for volunteers who have completed the volunteer shift are as follows: $20 for 5k, $30 for 10k, and $40 for the 15k.  Volunteers interested in this incentive must register under the PACKET PICK UP VOLUNTEER & RUN AT DISCOUNTED RATE option, spots are limited, sign up today!
