The Bay Bridge Half Marathon returns to a live event on Sunday, May 1, 2022 for the first time since their inaugural event in 2019.

Here's their story:

In 2002, we founded the US Half Marathon across the Golden Gate Bridge in partnership with the 2012 bid to bring the Olympic Games to San Francisco. Today, the same team, now based in Oakland, worked with nearly a dozen entities over 11 months to make this dream, running the first half marathon across the Bay Bridge, a reality.

Ever since the renovation of the new Bay Bridge, we’ve had our sights set on a different type of event - one that bucks the status quo and features not only a one-of-a-kind round trip across our famed bridge, but a local, immersive experience with top chefs, merchandise, entertainment and so much more.

It’s going to be an incredible celebration!

What we'll be doing:

Volunteers alongside staff of the host Oakland Run Co. will help set-up and distribute race bibs & t-shirts.

What you should know:

Volunteers will receive snacks, drinks, and an event t-shirt.
