Event Description:
The annual Celebration of Life Thanksgiving Dinner is a wonderful holiday celebration for those in the HIV/AIDS community and, for some, the only holiday celebration they will enjoy. The event is free of charge for anyone living with HIV/AIDS, and their loved ones, but also serves as the Boston Living Center’s largest fundraiser of the year thanks in large part to the kind and generous spirit of our TIPS Servers who raise money to ensure the BLC can continue to provide the same excellent level of programs and services so important to our members living with HIV/AIDS. We have come far since the early days of the epidemic, but the stigma, isolation, fear and rejection associated with the disease still remain.
Each year, more than 700 guests look forward to this festive affair complete with a reception, traditional turkey dinner, live entertainment and a wonderful array of organizations that table at the popular Resource Fair.
