YMCA - Downtown Berkeley:
Founded in Berkeley in 1903 and deeply rooted in the communities we serve, the YMCA of the Central Bay Area is one of the most established human services organizations in the East Bay. Were a cause-driven nonprofit that ensures people have what they need to get and stay healthy. For more than 100 years, weve been bringing families, neighbors and friends together in a motivated and fun environment to learn, play and grow. The YMCA believes character development is essential to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities. YMCA programs teach individuals to understand, accept and demonstrate caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Our mission is to bring people together in pursuit of spiritual, mental and physical growth; to build community; and to serve.
