Event Description:

Every year at Christmas, HPP gives a party for the children of our clients. On Saturday, December 11, 2010 from 1-4, we will serve a warm homemade meal (turkey and all the trimmings) to approximately 300-350 families in a brightly decorated church auditorium. The HPP staff of approximately 60 will mingle with the clients and their children in this pleasant party atmosphere away from work. The children will also play games and enjoy arts and crafts. Ms. Claus will give each child a brightly-wrapped book and new pair of socks, as well as a Polaroid photo.

One Brick will help decorate the church, warm and set-up food in the buffet line, and serve food.

Homeless Prenatal Program:

Since 1989 HPP has served homeless pregnant women as well as homeless and/or low-income families in San Francisco. The program includes perinatal services, substance abuse services, housing assistance, immigrant support, mental health services, and onsite childcare.

We empower homeless and low-income families, particularly mothers motivated by pregnancy and parenthood, to find within themselves the strength and confidence they need to transform their lives.
