Event Description:

Volunteer opportunities include meal prep, sack lunch prep & assembly, serving and clean-up. Sometimes help is needed with organizing our walk-in freezer and storage areas. Preparation of the lunch and mid-day meals begins at 9am, Monday - Friday. Serving lunch at the Compass Center at noon, and the mid-day meal at the Outdoor Meal Site at 1pm. All are encouraged to take part in both the prep and the serving of the meals as it is a very powerful, fulfilling experience.

OPERATION: Sack Lunch:

OPERATION: Sack Lunch (OSL) is a multifaceted human services provider that has served more than 2.9 million meals since 1989. OSL has been recognized as an essential service in the local community with numerous awards including the Jefferson Award for Humanitarian Community Service, the Seattle Mayor's End Hunger Award, an International Giraffe Inductee, a Thomas G. Wales Foundation Honoree, along with many others.
