In addition to hot meals, the Dining Room also provides bag lunches to seniors or those with a medical referral, cooks and distributes meals to 15 other satellite locations throughout Alameda County.

One Brick will be helping prepare food, serve and clean up after the meal and performing other needed cleanup at St. Vincent de Paul's downtown Oakland location.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Alameda County:

Our mission is to serve men, women and children in Alameda County by meeting emergency needs and providing pathways out of poverty. We provide direct services, such as free meals, access to showers and laundry, clothing, food boxes and hygiene kits; we also provide job training for those with barriers to employment. Additionally, we operate three thrift stores throughout Alameda County, and just opened a new recycle/reuse store and artist studio in Alameda. Several thousand volunteers and a paid staff of 70 work throughout the county to support the mission and break cycles of poverty.
