Event Description:
The Homeless Prenatal Program (HPP) is pleased to announce that our annual Our House Gala will be held on Saturday, May 18th, 2024 from 7pm to Midnight. Our House celebrates its service to the community by bringing together over 400 supporters, community members and corporate partners for a lively evening filled with cocktails, appetizers and dancing.
This event is HPP's annual fundraiser gala which consists of a cocktail reception with passed food, cocktails, music and a silent auction. The event is at the Lipman Family Building in San Francisco @ 2500 18th Street on the corner of Potrero Avenue and is on all 3 floors plus the garden and the garage. We are so excited about this year's event because we will be celebrating the HPP's 35th year! It's also going to be a very fun atmosphere - Wonderstruck! which will be a circus/carnival environment with a lot of fun things happening on every floor.

What we'll be doing:
One Brick volunteers will assist with:
- Serving passed trays of food to guests (6:45 to 9:00)
- Busing tables removing empty drink glasses and paper items (6:45 - 11:15)
- Helping with the bartenders (bar backs) getting any wine or beer from the garage to restock (6:30 - 11:00)
- Food will be coming from the food truck parked on Potrero and One Brick will come through the side door to go to the 1st, 2nd or 3rd floor to pass the appetizers. Please note you will get from one floor to the next via the back stairwell. A volunteer or 2 are needed to stand at the door to manage flow and make sure everyone is safe.
- Helping clean up at 11 if anyone feels like hanging around.
What you should know:

Volunteers are welcome to stay and enjoy the dancing, music and refreshments after the shift is over (the event will continue until just before midnight); also it will be highly appreciated if you can stay a bit longer past the shift time to help with the final clean up at the end (optional).

Homeless Prenatal Program:
Since 1989 HPP has served homeless pregnant women as well as homeless and/or low-income families in San Francisco. The program includes perinatal services, substance abuse services, housing assistance, immigrant support, mental health services, and onsite childcare.
We empower homeless and low-income families, particularly mothers motivated by pregnancy and parenthood, to find within themselves the strength and confidence they need to transform their lives.
