Event Description:
Part of Seattle Cocktail Week, Cocktail District is your weekend location for all things cocktail. Volunteers will be helping with various parts of the event from working in the bottle shop, to assisting with set-up, and much more!
What we'll be doing:
Bottle Shop - Volunteers on this shift will be helping with retail sales at the event and fulfilling orders in our back room. You'll be helping make the event happen where you are the most needed! 10 spots available.
What you should know:
Please note that volunteers must be 21+ for this event - bring your ID with you!
This event will have alcohol. All volunteers must read & review the alcohol guidelines and safety information below before their shift.
Perks: After our shift, volunteers will receive a $35 credit in the Bottle Shop (merchandise can be picked up after our shift).
Getting Here: The volunteer entrance door will be marked and is the middle of the Bell Harbor International Conference Center building on Alaskan Way. There's a paid parking lot across the street (entrance on Western Avenue), paid street parking, and public transportation stops nearby.
What to Wear: Please wear comfortable shoes as you will likely be on your feet during your shift. Volunteers will be provided with a volunteer t-shirt to wear during your shift. Please provide your requested unisex t-shirt size in the Notes section of your RSVP (or you can add your t-shirt size to your volunteer profile).
Personal Items: This event does not have any secured storage, so please only bring what you can carry on your person. A water bottle and a snack are never a bad idea. Volunteers will be required to show a valid ID upon arrival.
Alcohol Safety - PLEASE REVIEW! Volunteers are permitted to pour alcohol at this event without a Class 12/MAST permit. However, volunteers are still expected to know and follow the rules & regulations enforced by the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (WSLCB). We are all responsible for enforcing these rules & regulations to ensure the safety of all involved. Volunteers could be legally fined if you do not comply with these rules & regulations:
- Per WSLCB current laws and rules, drinking before or during a shift is not allowed and will be strictly enforced. WSLCB agents frequently visit these types of events to enforce these rules and if they see anyone drinking and then returning to volunteer, that person and the event will be fined. Drinking while behind the booth is also against the law.
- Giving away alcohol is illegal. You must collect payment (e.g. tasting token) for each pour.
- Please do not serve intoxicated guests. You make the ultimate decision on whether to serve a guest. Area managers can call for back-up if needed.
- Volunteers who fail to follow these rules will be asked to leave the event and will be ineligible to participate in future events by this organizer or its beneficiary TWIF.
Where to Meet:
The Volunteer Entrance door will be in the middle of the Bell Harbor International Conference Center building on Alaskan Way. Look for our One Brick name tags!
