About the East Bay 510k
The race will take place on Sunday, October 13th, leading runners along the waterfront to a finish Festival at Bay Street Mall. Our beneficiary is Running for a Better Oakland (RBO) (www.rboakland.org), a not-for-profit organization that encourages K–12th grade students in Oakland and the surrounding cities to develop healthy lifestyles through running.

Bib Pick-Up
Location: Decathlon Store (3938 Horton St, Emeryville, CA 94608)
On Site Time: 4:30 pm
Release Time: 7:30 pm
Duties: Assist with various activities including bib and shirt distribution, general set-up and breakdown. Volunteer Needs: 10 people

What we'll be doing:
Checking in registered runners and issuing bibs. Dress in layers as the store MAY be cold inside.
What you should know:
The Decathlon store is in the old Toys ‘R Us location. Plenty of parking and is conveniently off I-80. Public transportation options are taking BART to MacArthur station and taking the free Emery-Go-Round shuttle (Shellmound/Powell) or AC57. The AC transit line F also stops at Shellmound and Horton and originates from Sales Force Transit Center in San Francisco. At the conclusion of the event, an optional stop next door at Panera Bread for dinner and additional socializing is suggested but not required.
Where to Meet:
Inside the Decathlon store in Emeryville on the corner of Shellmound And Horton Sts. Look for the signs for 510K race bib pick up.
Represent Running:
In 2020 our Run Local – Run the Bay Series once again includes five races and three challenges. You can participate in each event individually or combine the three Silicon Valley-based events into the Valley Challenge, run the 408K, Across the Bay 12K + 415K and the East Bay 510K to complete the Run the Bay Challenge or crush all five events to earn the Run Local Series medal, in addition to the Valley & Run the Bay Challenge medals!
