One of our most popular events, volunteering at the Cambridge 5K Oktoberfest is something you don't want to miss! Plus your participation will benefit One Brick Boston!
Join us to help out at this "wunderbar" German-themed road race through Cambridge which benefits Cambridge Family & Children's Service (CFCS). Your participation also benefits One Brick Boston.
Get in the spirit! Run the race in your Lederhosen or Dirndl and you could win a great prize in our German costume contest! Unleash your inner Bavarian!
What we'll be doing:
Timing Company Assistance: Assist race timing company with recording manual times as back up; training to be provided before the race starts.
What you should know:
Volunteers will receive an event shirt + free admission to the post race party with Cambridge Brewing Co, Notch Brewing, Slumbrew & Bantam Cider. (ALL beer & food is complimentary for One Brick volunteers along with runners). One Brick Boston will have our own VIP tent (#28) set up in the post-race party area!
Where to Meet:
Volunteers should see their Event Managers Adam and Logan at the volunteer table at Cambridgeside Galleria food court at 7:30 am. The Cambridgeside Galerica Mall is located at 100 Cambridgeside Pl, Cambridge, MA 02141 (enter via food court entrance, near Sears @ corner of 1st St. & Thorndike St.) Please arrive by 7:30 am and bring your ID.
MBTA: Green Line to Lechmere or Orange Line to Community College. Volunteers will also receive free parking vouchers.
Please arrive by 7:30 am! Late arrivals may not be granted access to the after party. This is a strictly 21+ event. Please bring your ID
Cambridge 5K:
A supporting partner of One Brick Boston, Cambridge 5K organizes unique races that are super-fun! Their series consists of a Irish-themed race in March (Craicfest), a patriotic summer jump-off, Freedom Run (June), a a wunderbar new school Oktoberfest (October), and an old school (hip hop) holiday kick-off, Yulefest (December in Harvard Square), plus other great races in Salem and Malden.
