Event Description:
Milpitas Food Bank provides Emergency Food & Food Assistance for residents of Milpitas & Alviso. This is a one stop shop for low income families and homeless. We will be working with various products. Families might be scheduled to pick up while we are working.
What we'll be doing:
One Brick volunteer tasks will vary between the following :
- Container plants on patio
- Clothes closet (one outside in a greenhouse-type tent)
- Toy room
- Pantry: groceries, frozen meats, other perishables, drug store items, etc.
- Business dress clothes closet
- Unpacking various donations and separating and packing up bags for customer pick up
- Books and kids area
What you should know:
Please dress in layers and wear close-toed shoes.

Please meet at the front entrance.
Milpitas Food Pantry:
Milpitas Food Pantry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization who relies on community support to distribute emergency food and offer food assistance to more than 3,500 low- and fixed-income people (from our Food Pantry) The majority of their clients are families with children, followed by seniors. They also serve the homeless in our area. Local churches, schools, corporations, and individuals supplement the basic items they receive from Second Harvest/Feeding America Food Bank. Our Clothes Closet offers a wide variety of garments and household items donated by the community. It features sections for school uniforms and a Career Closet along with clothing for all ages and sizes.
