Event Description:

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was an advocate for community involvement and giving back. To honor these sentiments, One Brick Boston has organized an MLK long weekend event!

Through the Hostelling International Great Hostel Give Back program, a group of One Brick volunteers will have the opportunity to stay for FREE from Saturday, January 13, through Monday, January 15, at the Hostelling International location in downtown Boston. Participants will participate in 4 hours of volunteering over the course of the weekend and will also attend a Hostelling 101 info session and a fun group hostel activity!

For our volunteer events, we will be helping choose, sort, and/or package books at Prison Book Program and serve a meal at the New England Center and Home for Veterans. We are looking forward to working with these great nonprofit partners again!

The accommodations will be dorm-style rooms (bunk beds) with six beds in each room. There will be two rooms reserved just for One Brick. Towels and linens are included in each room. WiFi and daily continental breakfast are also included.

This will be a weekend full of giving back and building community during which you'll get to bond with your fellow One Brickers and do some hands-on volunteering!
