Event Description:
Fundraiser for the USS Hornet Museum. There will be live music and entertainment all day and fireworks viewing in the evening. The USS Hornet is one of the most decorated ships in naval history (it participated in WWII and the Apollo 11 & 12 manned moon missions). Now serving as a world-class sea, air, and space museum, the USS Hornet is permanently docked at the former Naval Air Station in Alameda. Visitors can explore many decks of the historic aircraft carrier, including flight deck, captains bridge, sick bay, pilot ready rooms, and much, much more. Exhibits include the West Coast's largest Apollo Moon Mission display and aircraft ranging from WWII vintage to the modern era.
