Event Description:
The Epilepsy Foundation is a national voluntary health agency dedicated solely to the welfare of the nearly 3 million people living with epilepsy in the U.S. and their families. The EF works to ensure that people with seizures are able to participate in all life experiences; to improve how people with epilepsy are perceived, accepted and valued in society; and to promote research for a cure. The Walk is the preeminent event where the epilepsy community comes together to show the world the importance of raising much needed funds and awareness about epilepsy. In 2015 participants from nearly all 50 states converged on the Washington Monument grounds to demonstrate the dedication to bettering the lives of those living with epilepsy. The combined efforts of the Walk, corporate community, and registrants resulted in raising nearly $1million.
