Event Description:
The IRC is a free conference for families of children with disabilities, professionals who work with them, and members of the community. We offer 20+ workshops, resources, an exhibitor fair and free childcare for families.

What we'll be doing:
Volunteers will register guests, serve lunch, assist exhibitors, assist presenters, collect evaluations, pack up materials and clean up. We will be providing a free lunch meal to all of our volunteers. Lunch usually includes a sandwich (vegetarian option available), fruits, cookies, chips and water.
·12-12:30pm: Sign in, check out the exhibitor fair and enjoy a free lunch (Re-signin with One Brick Event Manager prior to 12:30pm is required; volunteers can also check in with One Brick Event Manager at 11-11:30am if s/he wishes to spend more time with the exibition and lunch).
·12:30-4pm: Volunteer shift (assignment TBD)
Please check-in first with your One Brick onsite Event Manager, then at the volunteer desk with the organizer to confirm your assignment and find out the name of the staff person or captain who will direct you. Please be on time for your shift and stay to help pack up at the end. Thank you.
- All volunteers will get a copy of the job description at volunteer check-in.
- Afternoon and Break-down volunteers will help to clean up and load the moving van at the end of the event.
What you should know:
Please dress comfortably in layers as it can be chilly in the morning and evening at the school. Please make sure your physical condition is suitable to perform required tasks. Please be flexible regarding duty assignments. Please also make sure you have enough time allocated to complete your entire volunteer shift with One Brick.

Support for Families:
Formerly Support for Families of Children with Disabilities (SFCD)
Founded in 1982, Support for Families is a parent-run San Francisco-based nonprofit organization. They support families of children with any kind of disability or special healthcare need as they face challenges. Their purpose is to ensure that families of children with any kind of disability or special health care need have the knowledge and assistance they need to make informed choices that support their child's health, education and development. They provide peer support to families, and information and education to families, professionals and the community at large.
