Event Description:
The Lawrence Hall of Science developed the popular Sunprints Kit, used by schools, community groups, professional development and families worldwide. As a nonprofit organization, volunteers help assemble these kits in house to save on production costs. Revenue directly benefits the mission of the Hall, to inspire and foster the learning of science & mathematics for all.
What we'll be doing:
As a volunteer for this project, you will be assembling Sunprint Kits in response to high summer demand. You will be working alongside other volunteers with music and conversation flowing as you work.
What you should know:
- Dress= casual
- All volunteers will receive a Family Guest pass to come back or give to another family
- Water and light snacks will be provided. Full cafe available onsite
- Parking: We ask that community volunteers pay for parking. It is $1/hour. There are Public lots located on both sides of the street around the center and handicap parking is also available.
- This volunteer project will take place indoors.
- Gloves will be provided for the assembly
- Children 10 years+ may volunteer with an adult, but must be included as a volunteer. No other guests are permitted during the volunteer project time period.
