Event Description:

There are finally signs of the sun so it's time to get get your hands dirty at the Ringer Park Cleanup! This is the Ringer Park Partnership Group's annual Spring Clean Up of Ringer Park in Allston. Stanley A. Ringer Playground is a 12.38-acre public park on Allston Street between Commonwealth and Brighton avenues. The park consists of two tennis courts, two basketball courts, a baseball diamond, a playground and many walkways

Volunteers Needed for The Annual Spring Clean-Up of Ringer Park in Allston. This is a Boston Shines Collaborative Project. Clean-Up Details: Litter/Trash Removal; Fallen Branch Removal; Raking Leaves/Debris; Plantings; Sweeping Walkways/Recreation Areas Define Walking/Hiking Pathways

The Ringer Park Clean Up provides an awesome opportunity to make new friends or hang out with old ones and have a great time while doing a good deed!

What we'll be doing:

Volunteer Duties are:

Litter Removal

Walkway Sweeping

Flower Planting

Creating Garden Borders

Grass Seed Sowing

Clearing Urban Wilds Walking Paths - Ex: Fallen Branch Removal

What you should know:

Refreshments, Lunch, Work Gloves, Tools will be provided to all volunteers. An information task list will also be provided. Community Service Letters from the organization are provided upon request.

Please be aware that this is an outdoor event. Please wear clothing that you don't mind getting a little dirty.

Where to Meet:

Volunteers are asked to look for the Check In/Registration Table located at the Stanley A. Ringer Park (Ringer Park) Softball Field. Please look for Balloons. When you arrive you should look for the One Brick Event Manager. Volunteers are asked to arrive at Ringer Park at 9:00am.

Ringer Park is located at 1 Webley Street, Allston, MA 02134 (Main Entrance to Ringer Park)- directly in the back of the Jackson Mann Elementary School
which is located on Armington Street in Allston.

Parents and Community Build Group:

The Parents and Community Build Group,Inc. is an all-volunteer community service 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2004. Our Mission is to engage the residents of Boston to build stronger communities. Some of our accomplishments include: * Annual Allston Village Street Fair Festival * Allston Community Orchard * Sponsoring The Ringer Park Partnership Group - Green Space Advocacy * Coordinates the efforts of over 300 Volunteers for Bi-Annual Ringer Park and Allston Business District Clean Ups. * Designed & Fundraised for the Tot Lot Playground/Ringer Park, Allston * Sponsors numerous inclusive all-age demographic social events throughout the year including educational, health care, employment informational seminars.
