Event Description:
Fiesta Asia is the flagship brand of the National Asian Heritage Festival celebrated annually in May. Since 2006, Asia Heritage Foundation (AHF) has continuously brought extensive programming and activities to celebrate the vast diversity of Asian Heritage. Every year, AHF puts on a plethora of Fiesta Asia House events such as a Photo Exhibit, Live Performance Series, Planet Family, Street Fair, and a Film Fest!
What we'll be doing:
Volunteers will be assisting with the Street Fair open for public from 10AM-7PM! Depending on the needs at the time, you will be involved in such tasks as:
oLogistics (Set up & tear down of the festival ground, making sure the programs are on schedule, etc)
oBeverage stations (We are the only parties to sell beverages at the street fair)
oArts & Crafts/ Children’s Area (To assist with many fun and exciting A&C, games and programs)
oPhotographer/videographer (take pictures of the events, the public, exhibitions, performances, etc)
oInformation booth (Provide general public information about the events, assist with volunteer check-in, assist vendors, exhibitors, performers, and handout programs and more)
oStreet Team (Assist general public with the event, assisting police, health inspectors, security; assist with publicizing the festival, Help to promote events on social media, assisting with crowd wrangling and management, and many more)

What you should know:
Wear an orange t-shirt/blouse/top (if you have one), or if not, please wear a white top and blue jeans. If desired, bring light jacket, umbrella, cap to prepare for potential rain, cold temperatures. Bring minimal personal belongings as there is no storage for these items. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for your belongings.
Where to Meet:
Volunteers are required to report at the command center @ Pennsylvania Ave & 4th St. NW, and will then you, along with your Event Manager and the rest of the group, will be directed from there.
