Event Description:

Coney Island USA is putting together it's biggest fundraising event of the year on March 15th at the world famous night club Webster Hall in Manhattan. The theme this year will be The Ides of March. Ancient Rome meets Coney Island -- complete with sideshow performers like sword swallowers, fire eaters and aerlists, the best burlesque performers in the world and live music. Staged conspiracies will abound.

Proceeds will help fund the famous Mermaid Parade as well as continue the rebuilding efforts after the devastating effects of Sandy.

What we'll be doing:

Volunteers will be needed in the following areas:

Food prep

Passing h'ors oeuvres in VIP

Registration

Selling raffle tickets

Information/crowd direction

What you should know:

Age requirement to volunteer and attend this event is 21 years and older.

Dress code is Sideshow Chic (fun sparkly, circus like) and comfortable shoes.

The limited catering is for VIPs and paid attendees, not for the volunteers. So please eat before your arrival or bring snacks with you.

Immediately following the event, Coney Island USA invites you to stay and attend Webster Hall's Brite Nites Nightclub event. So, volunteer and help out Coney Island USA, and then from 11:00 pm to 4 am party the night away.

Coney Island USA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation based in the amusement park area of the Coney Island neighborhood of Brooklyn New York. In existence since 1983, Coney Island USA has developed and produces a number of different programs including some of New York Citys best loved summer programming, such as the Mermaid Parade and the Coney Island Circus Sideshow. Coney Island USA also operates the Coney Island Museum and produces Ask the Experts, Burlesque at the Beach, the Coney Island Tattoo and Motorcycle Festival, Creepshow at the Freakshow, and the Coney Island Sideshow School.
