Event Description:
Rippling Hope does minor home repairs and maintenance with low-fixed income individuals mostly in Northwest Detroit. All of the work done is volunteer friendly and is led by trained members of the Rippling Hope staff. Much of the work being done involves: weatherization, interior and exterior painting, toilet replacement, installation or new door locks and security doors, lot cleanups and house board ups. This work is revitalizing and strengthening neighborhoods. Bringing neighborhoods together and making them safer through Block Clubs & Associations. Making homeowners feel safe, secure, and filled with hope and joy because volunteers come to work on their homes.
What we'll be doing
One Brick will be spending the morning working on the chores needed to be completed for those in need! The project can vary and may consist of painting, doing yard work, and/or repairing items. You are welcome to bring your gloves and tool belts if you have them. Rippling Hope’s house leader will provide additional instructions and guidance at the site.
