Event Description:

Ice Skating, Snow Games and Hayrides, Oh My!

Emily Oaks Nature Center is gearing up for the 8th annual Winter Chilly Fest! One Brickers are needed to staff outdoor activities, which include a variety of entertaining snow and ice games, ice skating on the pond, a marshmallow roast, and hay rides through the woods! Those volunteering will be guaranteed a magical winter event and a delicious chili dinner!

This event will be OUTDOORS, so please bring on your tough Chicago exterior and dress accordingly. Layers are your best friend, as are warm socks and shoes. And, don't worry, there will be warming breaks!

Emily Oaks Nature Center-Skokie Park District:

Skokie's thirteen-acre savanna and nature center is an oasis full of native wildflowers, grasses, oak trees, a three-acre pond, and trails. Residing and visiting urban wildlife includes Great Blue Herons, Coyotes, Flying Squirrels, Northern Water Snakes, Red Foxes and Cooper's Hawks. The indoor nature center offers classes, meeting rooms and the interactive Woodland Wander Inn.
