Event Description:
At the San Francisco Vintners Market, wine buyers can connect with hundreds of wineries and taste and buy wines direct from the source.
What we'll be doing:
Volunteers will be setting up the entrance of the venue and carding, ticket-taking, and handing out stemware to early entrants and later for the general public. There is no direct assistance with vendors.
What you should know:
VOLUNTEERS MUST BE OVER 21 YEARS.
There is no longer free parking inside the Fort Mason Center gate. It is now a flat rate of $8 for parking 3 or more hours. The small lot outside the Fort Mason Center gate is still free, but it will fill up quickly. We do highly recommend taking public transportation.
The following MUNI lines will take you to/near the Fort Mason Center:
10 Townsend, 22 Fillmore, 28 - 19th Avenue, 30 Stockton, 47 Van Ness, 49 Van Ness/Mission.
Please allow enough time to park or arrive and walk to the Pavilion.
This will be face-paced and at times hectic as we try to get consumers through the doors in as fast and orderly manner as possible. Please be prepared to stand for much of the event, there will be lmited seated positions handling those entrants who do not have printed tickets.
Please wear white shirts and black pants with comfortable shoes. Volunteers will not be allowed to drink during the shift but are welcome to enjoy the festivities afterwards. Lunch will be provided.
It is strongly recommend leaving valuables in vehicles when possible. There will be no secure place available to leave personal items during event setup. During the event, the coat check will be the only secure area. Event producers will not be responsible for lost items.
Where to Meet:
Please meet by the front entrance.
