Event Description:
Usher responsibilities will include taking tickets, passing out programs, directing concert attendees to their seats, and post concert clean up. Concert ushers will be allowed to attend the concert.
The internationally acclaimed VocalEssence Ensemble Singers and bluegrass sensation Monroe Crossing will perform Carol Barnett’s The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass for Chorus America Conference attendees. The concert will also feature Dominick Argento’s Walden Pond and the world premiere of a new work by Paul Rudoi, commissioned through the VocalEssence Essentially Choral program with funding from the Jerome Foundation. Jorge Cózatl, from Mexico City, (a VocalEssence ¡Cantaré! composer) will also be featured with his Mayan-based composition, Xtoles.
