Event Description:

Will One Brick Volunteer for Chocolate? Oh, yeah, we will! And we'll even wake up EXTRA early to do it!!

The Hot Chocolate Race (15k or 5k) is considered America's Sweetest Race. Is it because of the chocolate goodies volunteers and runners get? The awesome chocolate after-party that volunteers will get to attend? Or is it because One Brick volunteers are so awesomely sweet?

Probably all of the above.

What we'll be doing:

One Brick volunteers will be helping the Chicago Diabetes Project - Cellmates on the Run team at Aid Station #4 handing out water and sports drinks and cheering on the runners.

What you should know:

EXTRA Early start time at 6:15am - Yep, you read that right - 6:15 A.M. But you will be rewarded with race goodies and access to the race after-party earlier! Yes, there will be chocolate fountains!

Chicago Diabetes Project - Cellmates on the Run:

The Chicago Diabetes Project is the first scientific collaboration of its kind. Physicians, scientists, engineers, chemists and molecular biologists from three continents have a common goal: Find a cure for diabetes as fast as possible. Cellmates on the Run is a running group that brings people together to achieve a common goal: to raise money and awareness in the fight the aggressively growing epidemic of diabetes.
