Event Description:

Come have fun and support the 21st Annual FREE DC Blues Festival. For more than 20 years, the DC Blues Society (DCBS) has organized the free annual DC Blues Festival and brings the best in Blues entertainment and education to a variety of venues in the Washington, DC region. This continues with the 21st Annual DC Blues Festival. Youthful and veteran blues performers will wow the crowd. The acts include the winners of the Battle of the Bands who were sponsored by DCBS at the Memphis, TN International Blues Challenge (the blues version of "American Idol"). There's also plenty fun for the family at the workshop stage with guitar, vocal, and harmonica workshops.

Volunteers will: usher, monitor front/back gates, check in volunteers, assist with the workshop stage, sell and re-stock merchandise, sign up members, answer questions, distribute DCBS promotional materials, have fun, be happy!

DC Blues Society:

The DC Blues Society (DCBS) is a non-profit section 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to keeping the Blues alive through outreach and education. DCBS has been bringing live blues shows to the metro region for more than 20 years. DCBS promotes great local and regional artists, hosts the annual FREE DC Blues Festival, provides news about venues, bands, and events in Washington, Maryland, and Virginia and much more.
