Event Description:

One Brick will finish the work we started on November 12th. We will construct new animal enclosures to shelter orphaned and injured animals and repair damage from a landslide. In order to stabilize the hillside and provide a safe place for recently released wildlife to live, we will also install new landscaping that includes food-bearing plants and a drip irrigation system.

Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue is an organization dedicated to the rehabilitation of orphaned and injured wildlife living in urban city centers. Yggdrasil (the word for "world tree" in Norse mythology) serves the cities of Oakland, Piedmont, Montclair and Berkeley. After animals are nursed back to a healthy state, they are released back into the wild. Yggdrasil also educates people of all ages in the wonder, enjoyment and importance of wildlife and nature, and why it is so vital that it be protected.
