Event Description:

Yes! One Brick will be participating in Bay to Breakers this year (no, definitely not running!). Come join us (and our keg(s)) as we party through one of San Francisco's great traditions!

The event starts at 8am, so we'll be meeting at 7:45am in front of the Hyatt Embarcadero Hotel at the corner of Drumm and California (right at the end of the California cable car line). Look for the group wearing One Brick t-shirts. If you have one yourself, bring it along. Or you can order one in our online store.

After the race, we'll be joining Footstock (the annual concert and festival/after-party in the Polo Field in Golden Gate Park), which will feature headliner entertainment.

For more information on the race, please visit the Bay to Breakers website.

Registering for Bay to Breakers:
DO YOU NEED TO REGISTER? You are welcome to participate with One Brick whether or not you officially register for the race. Race officials state that "Only registered runners with a 2006 bib will be admitted to the Start and Finish Areas."

Consider this though: Bay to Breakers is more than a race - the Bay to Breakers Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that leverages the visibility of this unique San Francisco event to help raise funds and awareness for other non-profit Bay Area community organizations. This year, the race will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and various local organizations that are kind enough to provide volunteers and services throughout race weekend.

Registration, including the concert and festival at Footstock is only $40 ($38 if you register before May 17). The proceeds go to a good cause, and hey, One Brick is providing the beer.

Please visit the Bay to Breakers website for registration information.

One Brick - San Francisco/East Bay:

One Brick is a 501(c)3 nonprofit volunteer organization that brings volunteers together to support other local nonprofit organizations. One Brick has adopted an innovative twist to the volunteer experience: we create a friendly and social atmosphere around volunteering. After each volunteer event - which typically lasts only 3 to 4 hours - we invite volunteers to gather at a local restaurant or cafe where they can get to know one another in a relaxed social setting. Through our volunteer projects, we provide nonprofits with the much-needed labor to carry out their visions. At the same time we foster an environment in which our volunteers can meet new people, both socially and professionally.
