Event Description:

VetsBoats (Wooden Boats for Veterans Foundation) takes veterans, their families, and first responders sailing on San Francisco Bay at no cost, for healing and community. We've served over 500 so far in 2026.

Our Veterans Day Gala, the one major fundraiser of our year. What's raised that night funds next year's sailing program.

What we'll be doing:

One Brick volunteers will help out in the following areas:

• Checking guests in against the guest list
• Handing out seating cards and
• Directing guests to the reception

What you should know:

It's a black-tie evening; dark suit or cocktail attire for volunteers
Meal: Volunteers will have dinner with us

VetsBoats is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded and led by military veterans, dedicated to restoring health, well‑being, and community for those living with PTSD, traumatic injuries, addiction, and isolation. We believe in the transformative power of sailing and maritime work as therapeutic tools—an approach grounded in research and decades of lived experience on the water.

Our mission is to deliver measurable improvements in veterans’ health, connection, and sense of purpose. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, we now operate as a growing national network serving veterans and their families through local chapters, affiliates, and partner fleets.
