The Little Italy booths are cashless, and we have moved away from the ticket system.  Previous year’s tickets will not be accepted. ATMs are available for the other vendors’ booths, but we will not accept cash. Out of fairness to all volunteers, please do not solicit cash tips.

Please do not consume alcohol during your shift.

Sunday’s forecast has a high of 86 degrees. All booths will be in the shade.

Where to Meet:

Please check in at the Membership/ ID/ Info booth ten minutes before your shift starts.  The Membership booth will be near Henry’s. We have Volunteer badges for all volunteers. Everyone serving alcohol needs a wristband.

Little Italy San Jose:

Little Italy San Jose is a 501(c)3 that has worked for the last 9 years to rebuild what is left of a 12 block Italian neighborhood in downtown San Jose. In the last nine years we have taken a blighted block and a half and opened businesses and flipped homes into residences. Our current focus is taking one of the old homes we have been able to purchase through donations and bring her back to life to become our museum and piazza area. Please see more at littleitalysj.com for more information.

Little Italy San Jose has become a destination in San Jose. The history of the area and the Italian people adds to the story of the diversity of San Jose. Every big city has it's Little Italy section and now San Jose does as well. Homes were boarded up and now four of them are residences. We are welcoming our fourth business in the next couple weeks, Enoteca Downtown -  a 6,000 square foot pizzeria/sports bar to go along with the Italian School for Pre-K and Kindergarten, Paesano Ristorante and Bel Bacio Italian Café. Our original fund raising efforts built the landmark LISJ Arch that stands on Julian and Pleasant St. at Highway 87. This museum project is about a 2.5 million dollar project in all.
