Event Description:

IMPORTANT: In addition to RSVPing on the One Brick website please indicate in the Notes section which area you will be helping the Jack London Improvement District at.  If you are not yet confirmed by the nonprofit we can wait to collect that information.

Join us for the Taste of Jack London beer & food festival, a vibrant celebration of Oakland’s craft beer and culinary scene, co-hosted by the Jack London Improvement District and the Jack London Brewing District. This revamped version of our beloved Jack London Brewing District Block Party—now in its fifth year—will once again feature food tastings from top local restaurants alongside incredible Oakland-made beer.

Sip your way through unlimited samples from standout breweries like Cellarmaker Brewing, Original Pattern, Oakland United, Shapeshifters, and many more to be announced. Pair your pours with bites from neighborhood favorites like Xingones Cantina, Angel Cakes Cupcakes, and more.

What we'll be doing:

Volunteers will be assigned to a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

• Ticket Booth (checking people in, ticket sales)
• Merch Booth (merchandise sales)
• MOOPing (changing out trash, picking up litter)
• Set Up 9AM-12:30PM
• Break Down 4:30-6:30PM
• Food Booth Assistance (serving pre-made food)
• Beer Pouring Assistance (pouring beer at a beer booth)

What you should know:

You’ll receive a VIP tasting ticket for your time — enjoy the event responsibly!

Bring comfortable shoes, work gloves if necessary, sunscreen if you’re outdoors, a hat and a water bottle.

Wear comfortable shoes.

Where to Meet:

Meet at the BLOC15 event space 15 minutes before your shift to check in and receive your lanyard.
