Event Description:
Join Kate volunteering with Santa Clara County Parks helping to plant approximately 10 native trees in the Canada de Pala Group Campsite to restore the habitat and provide shade.

Dress in layers and bring a water bottle. Weather permitting we can picnic in the park once the event is over. Bring something to nibble on and/or share.

Santa Clara County Parks:
The mission of the Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation Department is to provide, protect and preserve regional parklands for the enjoyment, education and inspiration of this and future generations. Santa Clara County acquired its first parkland in 1924, purchasing 400 acres near Cupertino. In 1956, the Department of Parks and Recreation was formed. Currently, the regional parks system has expanded to 27 park units encompassing nearly 45,000 acres.
