Event Description:
There's nothing like joining in on the fun on Opening Night!
If this is anything like last year, early birds were treated to entertainment, hot chocolate and sweet swag!
We will explore the plaza area, enjoy opening night festivities and press conference before viewing the first light projection at 7pm on the Ferry Building. From there we will walk to the other locations.

Note: If you are an individual with a history of signing up for One Brick events and no-showing or un-rsvp'ing at the last minute you will be immediately removed from the event roster. This event is intended for active One Brick volunteers in good standing who have volunteered at least 20 hours in 2025.
What you should know:
Bring CASH for HAPPY HOUR
Dress for evening weather. Bring a lightweight portable stool if possible. You'll be the envy of festival goers who are standing the whole time while we get to sit while watching the projection show. You will thank me later - it's a game changer!
Restrooms are located at the Ferry Building and the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
Feel free to join us and leave when you want. Until then, we will stay close together like boba (no one gets left behind).
Optional Pre-Activity (Happy Hour 4 - 5pm) at La Mar or Waterbar, Ferry Building stroll.
This year we're starting early instead of staying late! We'll be at La Mar along the Embarcadero around 4pm for HAPPY HOUR (or Waterbar). From there we'll head over next door to the Ferry Building and check out some of the new shops/eateries.
Where to Meet:
At the plaza area, foot of Market Street by the towering Burning Man Lady statue. If you are running late, please text the Event Manager for real-time location.
One Brick - San Francisco/East Bay:

One Brick is a 501(c)3 nonprofit volunteer organization that brings volunteers together to support other local nonprofit organizations. One Brick has adopted an innovative twist to the volunteer experience: we create a friendly and social atmosphere around volunteering. After each volunteer event - which typically lasts only 3 to 4 hours - we invite volunteers to gather at a local restaurant or cafe where they can get to know one another in a relaxed social setting. Through our volunteer projects, we provide nonprofits with the much-needed labor to carry out their visions. At the same time we foster an environment in which our volunteers can meet new people, both socially and professionally.
