Join the Oakland Turkey Trot crew and volunteer at the race on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 27th!

Earn your DAYS indulgence at Alameda County’s PREMIER Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning!

Here are the quick details and perks:

• Every Volunteer receives a Free Volunteer Shirt!
• We will have coffee, donuts and snacks for our volunteers!

What we'll be doing:

Volunteers can choose to help at any of the 3 areas based on availability via the link above:

• Course Marshals
• Race Day Start & Finish
• Water Stations

What you should know:

Event takes place outdoors and will be held RAIN or SHINE so please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.

Where to Meet:

Meeting place will be the Volunteer Check-In table.  Your Event Manager will clarify this as the event gets closer.

Oakland Turkey Trot:

Oakland Turkey Trot's purpose is to raise funds to support Oakland Public School's initiatives outside the scope of the annual school budget. The Oakland Turkey Trot event positively enriches the sense of community and promotes wellness while at the same time providing additional resources for educational purposes.

More than just a healthy start to the holiday, the Oakland Turkey Trot 5K is a fun way to give back while you give thanks. In partnership with the Mayor’s Office, Alameda County Community Food Bank and local sponsors and charities, we are honored to bring Oakland its first Thanksgiving Day community fitness event that is 100% The Town.
