Event Description:

For A Good Koss is a 501(c)(3) organization established to honor Sarah Koss and to ensure that all children have the opportunity to learn in their own unique way. We are excited to host our 4th Let Your Imagination Run 5k & Children's 1k on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.

Sarah Koss was an avid and joyful runner, so this fun run is the perfect way to bring together the community to celebrate her life on the 10th anniversary of her passing. This event benefits For A Good Koss, and all proceeds will go towards our community education events and music scholarships.

What we'll be doing:

Volunteers will be assigned to various roles based on the following timeline:

• 7:30 AM - 8 AM: Event Set Up
• 7:45 AM - 10 AM: Bib Pick Up/Same Day Registration/Swag Distribution
• 8 AM - 10 AM: Course Marshals
• 8:45 AM - 10 AM: Race Timing
• 11:30 AM - 1 PM: Event Tear Down

What you should know:

All volunteers will be provided swag bags and refreshments for their help.  Costumes encouraged but not required.

Parking The Sunday road closure extends up Stow Lake Drive, so there will be no direct access to the start/finish line by vehicle. The closest vehicle access is at the Stow Lake Boathouse. You can park in this area and walk to the Pioneer Log Cabin Picnic Area a few hundred meters away. We encourage San Francisco residents to take public transportation or Lyft/Uber.
