Event Description:
Volunteers are needed to ensure that the swimming competition runs smoothly! This event is open to men and women ages 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-75, etc.
What we'll be doing:
A volunteer may be doing one or more of these over the course of the shift:
- Timing: Each lane will have two volunteers with stop watches
- Runner: These volunteers display post-heat sheets on the results wall
- Medals: Once the event has concluded, volunteers hand out medals
What you should know:
The organization will provide a t-shirt, snacks,and inspiration!. Wear comfortable, rubber-soled shoes and khaki or black pants. Since this event will be held outside, layers are advisable. Please bring a refillable water bottle, if desired.

The Bay Area Senior Games are a legacy of the 2009 Summer National Senior Games in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Games promote healthy, active lifestyles for adults over the age of 50. They aim to provide excellent conditions for seniors who seek a competitive environment along with the camaraderie of other athletes.
