Event Description:

We're invading the Silicon Valley Chapter territory again (2021 was our most recent to date) and pouring beer at the Friday kickoff for the 2024 Redwood City Oktoberfest!! This time the icky face masks are optional!

Let's support Melissa L at her FIRST beer pouring event!!

YOU MUST HAVE REGISTERED ON THE REDWOOD CITY OKTOBERFEST WEBSITE IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE.  THAT EVENT IS CURRENTLY FULL AS OF 8-28-24.

What we'll be doing:

First time pourers will be learning the fine art of pouring ice cold beer from a tap.

You will get wet, and your shoes might be soaked in beer by event's end, but you will have a GREAT time for sure!!

What you should know:

Event is outdoors so dress accordingly.  You are welcome to dress in the traditional Oktoberfest attire; otherwise, a volunteer t-shirt will be given to you.

Please wear shoes you don't mind getting wet because kegs will blow, you will be running into other volunteers in the heat of the pours and your shoes WILL GET WET!!

Dinner (usually sausages, sauerkraut, German potato salad, pretzels of your choosing - otherwise please bring your own meal) and all the beer / root beer / Squirt soda / water you can guzzle will be included.  You will receive your own glass 1 liter stein to sample beer, drink beer and take home after the event.  Any steins left overnight are washed and reused.

If you are not feeling well, please stay home and rest!!

Where to Meet:

Inside the gated venue at the beer station.  Just let uniformed security know you are there to volunteer.
