Event Description:
Help to return dignity to victims of sexual violence. We will be sorting and counting items in the Grateful Garment inventory, which provides resources to 25-40 victims (women, children and men) in California each day.

What we'll be doing:
We will be inspecting, counting and sorting through inventory of garments (clothing, undergarments, etc) and/or processing large donation boxes from major donors.
What you should know:
Please arrive about 15 minutes before the scheduled shift. This is an indoor event with social distrancing and MASKs will be required. Dress comfortably; closed toe shoes, (dress in-layers as it can get warm).
Please bring your own personal reusable water bottle. Snacks & Water will be provided.
Where to Meet:
Meet your One Brick Event Manager outside the Grateful Garment location: 1777 Hamilton Ave, #2280, San Jose, CA 95125.
Parking: When you look at the building use the driveway to the right. Then go up the stairs to the 2nd floor and walk along to unit #2280
Grateful Garment Project:
When sexual assault victims seek medical attention and rape kits are performed, those women, men and children are asked to surrender their clothing for DNA evidence. Once clothing has been surrendered, the traumatized victim has nothing else to wear home but a hospital gown…only adding insult to injury.
