Event Description:

Bark in the Park™ is the largest dog festival in the US. Bark is a free event, open to all, with a suggested donation of $10 per adult.
Dogs and kids under 12 are free! All proceeds from Bark benefit local community organizations and pet-related charities including Humane Society Silicon Valley, San Jose Animal Care Center, and PAWS4SJACS.

Campus Community Association’s Bark in the Park celebrates our canine friends. It is a one-day event held on the third Saturday of each September at William Street Park. It provides funding for CCA’s many neighborhood projects and events and also donates money to various animal shelters and charities.

Founded in 1996, Bark offers a main stage, activities areas, demonstrations, kid’s activities, food, live entertainment and vendor booths focused on dog-related goods and services.

Adults and children can learn about different dog breeds, how to select an appropriate pet and how to give it proper care. Non-profit organizations will offer information on fostering, adopting, and spaying and neutering. More than 75 local businesses will offer a wide range of dog-related products and services including veterinarian, kennel, grooming, food, treats, supplies, photography, and merchandise.

What we'll be doing:

One Brick will help with set up, entertainment, registration,  beverages,  greeting, merchandise...

What you should know:

This is an outdoor event - please bring sunhat, sunscreen, water bottle and wear comfortable shoes.

Where to Meet:

Bark in the Park™ is held in William Street Park, at South 16th and East William Street, in the historic Naglee Park neighborhood of downtown San Jose. Ten acres of grass, trees and water lie between William Street, South 16th Street and Coyote Creek. For the event, South 16th Street will be closed from William to Margaret Streets. There will be a drop-off location at the park and volunteers will provide directions to nearby parking areas while they last.

Park in the neighborhood on any of the streets and walk to the park; just remember not to block driveways. Additional event parking will be available near the park. Look for signs on William Street for more information. Please carefully observe all posted traffic signs, especially the speed, to keep this a safe and enjoyable event.

Campus Community Association:

The Campus Community Association, celebrating more than 48 years as a non-profit public benefit corporation, was organized to promote neighborhood spirit and improve the quality of life in the downtown community through education, awareness, group projects, volunteerism and community care.

Since 1972, CCA and its volunteers have been dedicated to creating a safe, clean and friendly environment for all of the neighborhood residents to enjoy. Naglee Park leaders received the Mayor's State of City Award for outstanding volunteers of 1997.

CCA is a tax-exempt organization that is fully committed to improving the quality of life downtown. CCA's steering committee and members are all volunteers and consist of homeowners, renters, students and families residing in the San Jose State University campus community. CCA's committees address a wide range of issues affecting the area bound by South Fourth Street, East Santa Clara Street, Highway 280 and Coyote Creek, and the issues involving the City of San Jose and Santa Clara County.

CCA is actively involved in examining subjects such as parking and traffic control, graffiti abatement, land use and zoning regulations, code enforcement, beautification, group facilities regulations, commercial area development, community, education, entertainment, group programs, university relations and many other issues. CCA strives to create a neighborhood of which the residents are proud to be a part.
