Event Description:

Since 1981 more than 1000 of the world's funniest comedians have performed free-of-charge for over a half-million people at the ORIGINAL, longest-running, FREE outdoor comedy concert in the world.  San Francisco's professional comedy community joins together each year to support this highly entertaining, five hour show.  The Punch Line, Cobb's Comedy Club, SF SketchFest and others help make Comedy Day the most anticipated comedy event of the year.

A small sampling of comedians who've performed at previous events include: Robin WIlliams, Bobby Slayton, Brian Copeland, Greg Proops, Brian Regan, Jake Johannsen, Kathleen Madigan, Dave Chappell the Sklar Brothers, Will Durst, Diane Amos, Kevin Meany, Father Guido Sarducci, Dana Gould, Arj Barker, Mark Curry, George Lopez, Gary Shandling, Tom Rhodes, Sabrina Matthews, Tom Kenny, Hal Sparks, Bill Burr, A. Whitney Brown, Paula Poundstone, Pat Paulsen, Sue Murphy, Bobcat Goldthwait, Johnny Steele, Carlos Alazraqui, Dave Attell, Greg Behrendt, and many, many others!

One Brick volunteers have been a part of this amazing event since 2009!

What we'll be doing:

One Brick volunteers will work backstage. Volunteers will help backstage pre-show & during the show they will be either backstage helping with the food & beverages or out in the front assisting some of the beverage vendors.

What you should know:

Volunteers are responsible for their own parking, and parking may be difficult; please allow extra time to find parking prior to the check in time. Remove anything of value from plain sight within your vehicle as vehicle break ins are common in this area.  Use public transit or Uber/Lyft if possible.

This is an outdoor event; the volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather conditions. This includes wearing a hat or applying sunblock. Food handling gloves will be available.

A Comedy Day t-shirt and volunteer credential for volunteers to keep will be provided to all volunteers and must be worn during your volunteer shift.

Although this is an outdoor event organizers have announced that face masks that cover your nose and mouth are still required and must be properly worn inside the food and beverage tent.  The food and beverage tent has walls on three sides with one side open facing the back of the stage.  There is a partial opening on the back wall as well.
