Event Description:

Seattle Scotch & Beer Fest is the region's biggest spring beer festival combining craft beer, Scotch, spirits, and inventive cocktails, benefiting the Youth Experiential Training Institute (Y.E.T.I). On April 15th & 16th, Seattle Scotch & Beer Fest hosts the ultimate pop-up bar inside Fremont Studios, featuring authentic Scotch tasting, Tequila/Mezcal tasting, Top Shelf tasting seminars, craft cocktails, plus 50 seasonal and special release beers, ciders, and seltzers from brewers up and down the West Coast.

What we'll be doing:

Ticket Booth Team - Friendly and responsible volunteers are needed to assist guests as they arrive at SSBF, including scanning advanced tickets and distributing beer token cards and spirit flight tickets! 4 spots available.

What you should know:

Please note that volunteers must be 21+ for this event - bring your ID with you! This is also a 100% fully vaccinated event - bring your proof of vaccination with you!

Detailed volunteer information will be provided the week before the event. but please provide the following information in the Notes section of your RSVP: (1) requested unisex t-shirt size, and (2) optional preference to work with any other registerered volunteers (please provide their name(s) in a separate email or in your RSVP).

Volunteers will receive an official Seattle Scotch & Beer Fest volunteer t-shirt and complimentary Beer Admission (8 Beer Tokens + a Commemorative Tasting Glass) -or- a Spirit Flight Ticket (6 different samples, your choice of the Scotch Flight or the Tequila/Mezcal Flight) after our volunteer shift is completed. Please note that by law, it is illegal to drink before your shift. Volunteers may also purchase a tasting glass, additional beer tokens, or a spirit flight ticket add-on if you can't decide. ;)

2022 COVID-19 BOLD HAT PRODUCTIONS SAFETY INFORMATION:

Bold Hat Productions has been monitoring COVID-19 cases in our area, and follows all state and local health requirements for large indoor events. Our goal is to provide a healthy and safe event for you to enjoy.

Full Vaccination Required: YES - All guests, staff, and volunteers inside the event must be 100% fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours prior to arriving at the event. Proof of vaccination can include your vaccination card, a printed copy of your vaccination card, or a photo of your vaccination card on your phone. Any guest not providing proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test will be denied entry.

Masks Required: NO - Masks covering your nose & mouth are encouraged inside when not actively drinking/eating. Volunteers should be prepared to bring and wear their own mask inside during our volunteer shift.

Health Screening: YES - Volunteers should self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms before our shift. If you are feeling ill or start showing any symptoms of being sick, please stay home and let us know that you need to cancel your RSVP.

Social Distancing: YES - Event capacity will be limited each session. While this is mostly an indoor event, the venue has high ceilings with good ventilation and access to a small outside area with a food truck.


Physical Requirements: Volunteers should be able to stand for the entire session, and may be asked to perform some light lifting and bending.

Getting Here: Follow signage to the event in Fremont Studios. Bold Hat Productions encourages attendees to carpool, designate a driver, or use a ride share. Do not drink and drive.

Entrance: The Volunteer Check-In entrance is on the southwest corner of the Fremont Studio building (see the "Where to meet" section below). Have your ID and vaccine verification ready for security when you check in.

Personal Items: Volunteers are asked to keep personal items to a minimum. Limited storage will be available in the volunteer area and at your station, but space is limited and the event organizers are not responsible for your personal belongings.

What to Wear: This is an indoor festival, but some of the exterior doors may be open. Please consider dressing in layers so that you'll remain comfortable if the temperature fluctuates (you'll be wearing an event t-shirt during our shift, but will need to take it off if you're attending the event after our shift).

Inclement Weather/Emergency Policy: Volunteers will be notified via email of any site closures or volunteer shift modifications, but this festival will be held indoors and should not be affected by inclement weather.

Where to Meet:

The Volunteer Check-In entrance has moved to N Canal St on the southwest corner of the Fremont Studios building (there is a sign located just to the left of the Fremont Studios main entrance on N 35th St that has a map of where volunteers should go). Look for our One Brick name tags!
